Led by Suzanne Porter, Franco-British photographer and founder of CLIK Gallery, these workshops are designed for participants wishing to explore the art of photography and visual storytelling. Over the course of the semester, participants will deepen their understanding of photography fundamentals, with a particular focus on the ability to tell stories through images. The workshops aim to develop both technical and creative skills, enabling each participant to cultivate a personal vision and create a coherent visual narrative.
Each session builds on the previous one, providing a structured and progressive learning experience. The teaching approach combines theoretical instruction with immediate practical application, encouraging experimentation and critical reflection. Visits to CLIK Gallery enrich the course by offering direct exposure to the work of professional photographers, both local and international, and insight into their aesthetic and narrative choices.
Prerequisites:
Open to all, though basic photography experience is recommended. Participants should have a good command of English, as the workshop is conducted in English. Please bring your camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or high-quality smartphone). A laptop is recommended for editing, with Lightroom (or equivalent) installed. Materials provided include course notes and online resources.
Note:
Participants are responsible for the printing costs of their photographs and any other costs related to the exhibition at the end of the term.
